Let me just say, Gallo Blanco was a last-minute find that turned into a forever fave. Tucked away off 7th Street in what I lovingly call the cut, this spot wasn't even on our radar. My girlfriend and I were just craving a spontaneous margarita moment (as one does), and baby, did this place deliver. We were greeted by the sweetest hostess who turned out to be our server, and get this, she normally works the bar but was stepping in on the floor that day. We love a team player. She was warm, attentive, walked us through the specials, gave us the menu breakdown with finesse, and all with a vibe that made us feel like queens. I told her she was amazing and meant every word. I wish I remembered her name, but best believe when I return (for the fourth time), I will find her and tip extra just for the energy. The patio? Chill and charming. The margaritas? Dangerously good. I came back two more times, once with my gorgeous German friend (who knows good tequila when he tastes it) and even he said, "This is a vibe." And he's not easily impressed. Now, let's talk food. That Mexican soup? Delicious. Comforting. Exactly what I needed to balance the tequila. I was heartbroken that they were out of tamales, my ABSOLUTE favorite, but somehow, I managed to survive... by ordering five margaritas for myself and five for my very tolerant German friend. (We don't waste time or tequila.) All in all, Gallo Blanco is the kind of place you want in your back pocket for a low-key afternoon turned "Why are we dancing in the parking lot?" evening. The happy hour is nuts, the staff is gold, and the drinks are strong in all the right ways. You deserve this place. Go. And tell them the margarita maven sent you.

First of the service was great, and I love that basically all the workers spoke English and Spanish. The food was overall good, but I would not order the chilaquiles again. The sauce tasted a little like marinara sauce and not salsa verde. I did have their guac and chips and I would 100% recommend. You have the option to sit inside or outside.

Gluten free eater. This is a great local spot. The atmosphere fits the neighborhood it is in. The murals are beautiful. Service for slower as more people came. But overall no complaint. So far I'll start with the downside. The decaf coffee is decent. But everything else from there goes up. We ordered the sample plate of salsas and guacamole. Who ever thought that oranges in guacamole would taste sooo good. What rock have I been living under? I may or may not have wanted to lick the bowl. But I was in public. So I refrained. Indeed the chilaquiles with barbacoa. They have their food well labeled and it's easy to figure out what I gf or even Veg. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros. There was so much barbacoa my meal. It was so good. From the first bite I was impressed with the balance of the meal. The huevos were really good. The thicker tortillas made it a little drier. He was happy without meat. We had leftovers and mixed them together. I'm sure they will make great leftovers. If I could do half stars it would be a 4.5/5. But it gets a 5/5 yelp stars.

Everything is amazing! Full menu, and vegan friendly. Fantastic food! Friendly and attentive servers. Fun downtown vibe. My picture represents how delicious the food is: I forget to take the picture before I dive in! This was a meal of guacamole and chips served with various salsas and a bean-rice-veggie burrito. The best!

I had tried the tacos years ago just grabbing some to go. Finally had a chance to sit on the patio and really enjoy the full experience. Great service and even better food. Especially the Al pastor tacos. This is most definitely my favorite taco spot. Looking forward to trying more of their food.

We took the family here on a Saturday afternoon, between lunch and dinner. The restaurant had some people in it but plenty of seating open inside and outside. We were seated quickly. Before I get any further, I was hesitant at first to come here as I was unsure of it being kid friendly. YES! It is kid friendly. They have a kids menu and crayons at the table. After being seated, it took a moment for our server to come by and take our order. This was surprising as the dining room wasn't particularly busy. Once we ordered what we wanted the food did come quite quickly. Our server brought chips and salsa out prior to our entree's and the salsa was great! One was on the spicier side, but luckily our family likes hot stuff. The flavor was magnificent and not just spice-heavy. I ordered the Chilaquiles and they where the best restaurant chilaquiles I have ever had. Now if you know you know why I had to specify restaurant chilaquiles. Thats because traditionally they are better at home. The kids ordered a flapjack, and not to anyone surprise did not finish because it was too big for them. Needless to say, I had to finish it like the dad I am. It was fluffy and the batter was a little sweet! So I may be tempted to order one for myself next time. We all enjoyed the food. The House Horchata was great! The service like I said was okay. Unfortunately, that appears to be a theme here. I would come back, we want to try happy hour!

I found my new taco spot! Gallo Blanco is the sister restaurant to Otro Cafe, so if you've been there and you like them, you're going to enjoy Gallo Blanco and vice versa. Their food and drinks were really really good! I had: Flaca Marg Carne Asada Barbacoa Puerco Colorado tacos I recommend all of the above, as I'll be going back very soon to order that and more!

One of my favorite Mexican places in the valley to take friends and family! Gallo Blanco is underrated. Their homemade chips and guacamole are fantastic-- the chips are thick and flavorful and the guac and salsas are so fresh! One of my favorite things to share is the taco plate. It comes on a sizzling platter with choice of 2 meats, 6 blue corn tortillas and some accompaniments. This is usually enough for 3 people. My recent favorites have been the beer battered crispy fish, grilled shrimp and barbacoa. Their drinks are also super good-- I've had a classic margarita, mezcal margarita, michelada, sangria and coffee drinks. All were great! I enjoy eating both inside and outside; they have two patios. Service is always warm, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend Gallo Blanco! In fact, my mother in law said it's her favorite restaurant. EVER. And she's traveled a lot!

My sister and I checked this place out after inquiring about it being a sister restaurant to Otro Cafe. Similar vibe, but a little different. The service was great. Our waitress was really cool in helping us get to know the menu. The food and margarita were delicious. Ordering of the happy hour menu was a great choice. I ordered one of the margaritas, 2 pork belly tacos (my favorite), 1 fish taco, and 1 barbacoa taco. All were delicious. I had never had a blue corn tortilla shell before. When the plate was placed in front of me, for some reason looking at the shells I expected them to be crispy, but the texture was that of a white or yellow corn tortilla shell. I liked it. Looking forward to my next visit.

This place was SO SO good. I went on a Tuesday night after work. We had a rez but it wasn't too packed. We were seated immediately. There were ample free parking along the street near the restaurant. The chips were incredible - you can tell they are home made and made very well! The green and red salsa complimented the chips well. We ordered the guacamole and it was made with hints of orange - which was amazing!! I ordered the horchata because I always need to have horchata at Mexican restaurants! It was thick and cinnamon-y and good! It could have been chilled a little more before serving. I ordered three tacos - two carne asada and 1 pork belly. All of them were delicious. Good portion of protein/meat in them. I ate them faster than I could take a photo (bummer)! My friends ordered the Pozole vegetarian and they said it was delicious. They said they would order it again! We had a great time!
